Q: How do I get rid of the mold on my baseboards and wall?
Q: Why does my carpet smell?
A: The smell of your carpet can be due to a number of different contaminates such as pets, mold, dirt etc. Even new carpet will have a smell for the first couple of days. This smell can be lessened with proper ventilation and air exchange. If your carpet is not new, smells can be caused by improper cleaning. Most manufacturers recommend that all carpets be vacuumed twice a week and be cleaned by hot water extraction once a year. Remember, smelly, dirty carpets need to be cleaned regularly just like dirty, smelly clothes. If this doesn't help, you may have unseen stains or possibly even a slight mold issue. If odors persist, contact a carpet care professional.
